“Why does God let bad things happen to good people?”

We’ve all heard this question asked or have asked it ourselves. The premise of the question is faulty – it assumes that God is supposed to make everything nice a cozy for His followers and for those in whose lives He is working. God’s more interested in conforming us to the likeness of Jesus, which as you can see in the life of Jesus, includes intense trials, than he is in comfort and pleasure. It’s easier said than done for sure, but next time you’re facing a trial, don’t ask “Why me?” ask “What are You trying to teach me?”
