“SHOCK: Argument leads to baby being thrown out of car...”

I read a story the other day entitled, “SHOCK: Argument leads to baby being thrown out of car...”

The gist of the story read as follows:

“An argument between a driver and her passenger led to a baby in a child seat being carelessly thrown onto the sidewalk in Northeast Philadelphia Wednesday afternoon, police said.

According to police, two women were riding in a car together when they became involved in an argument. The driver told the female passenger, the child's mother, to get out of the car, but she apparently refused.

Police said the 30-year-old driver stopped the vehicle, then reportedly took the 9-month-old baby out of the car in its child seat and roughly threw the child seat onto the ground. The mother of the child got out of the car and stayed with her baby.”

OK, this normally might be “shocking,” if we feared God and regarded His moral teachings. But today, are we really shocked? The headline says “Shock” - shocking? What’s so shocking about that? Really, we removed prayers from schools and replaced them with mass murders and metal detectors. We’re kicking God out of every square inch of our lives in the name of “tolerance.” Yes, tolerance. We preach tolerance, while suing or shooting anyone and everyone for the slightest – or fallacious – infraction. But yes, we’re a tolerant country.

We tear down the Ten Commandments and just can’t understand – and are “shocked” when babies are thrown out of car windows, crooked businessmen and politicians control our country, kids are murdered in our schools and in our wombs, by the tens of millions, but we dare say we are “shocked” when evil shows its ugly head. How could we be shocked? We reap what we sow. And we are sowing evil with tolerance for everything but God’s law.

Why should be we shocked? I’m not. I expect it. Without God we have no moral guidelines, it's anything goes, we’re all just animals, life has no value… what do you expect? And I fear that it’s going to get worse unless we turn things around.

Come back to Jesus – love others like we love ourselves and love God with all our hearts.
